XX day XX time at Plaza Singapura MacDonald's

There was only 2 counter- Me and Shah. Shah was stocking up and i was standing there waiting for customer. Boring...Then this guy came and asked for a small coke which cost $1. I went to take the coke. When i was back at the counter with the coke, a $2 note was lying on the table. I thought it was a $2 note since it was like kinda purple-ish. As i was taking that '$2' note from the table and saying 'out of $2', i realised the $2 was much bigger than the usual $2. At first i thought it was fake but after looking at it. It was actually a $1000 tender!!!! I called the manager ( Ying Ling) since i dont have enough change in my drawer and there is this rule that if the customer give you more than 100 bucks, the manager must be there to witness you gave the correct change.

Ying Ling told that guy she dont have enough change to give him and he can take that coke for free. Then he said' Where got like that one' and he was trying to find some coins in his pocket. So it appeared that this guy only has this $1000 tender with him. He was quite embarrassed and he promised to pay back the next time before he left.

I seriously dont understand. He gave me that $1000 note to buy a $1 coke. I mean it sounds quite funny. Anyway, maybe he is wants some change. Then he might as well but that 50 cent ice cream cone. Aiya i dontn know.
