I had 2 very interesting conversations tonight. One that clearly indicates my brain isnt functioning during this post O level period. The other shows the great sense of humour yiai has. =D.

Ok this is the one that shows i am getting blur-er.

Barry:okay I go brush teeth give me 3.14 minutes

I took such a long time to realise that.And this convo talk about yiai's boyfriend.

So on valentines' day, i shall not give any chocs to yiai. Her boyfriend will pamper her with loads and i bet she cant be bothered with those i give. haha. =D

First Chamber practice yesterday with the conductor. >.<

I totally agree with Xuan Han, he looks like Mr Liu, my viola instructor in tkgs =D But the difference is that he is bald. And his head is really really shiny, can reflect light.(no offence (: )I wonder what he did to his head to make it so shiny. And obvioulsy his english so much better than Mr Liu. We played Elgar Serenade,which wasnt as bad as i thought even though with all the syncopations. I guess the next practice we will be playing Mozart Divertimento K136 Presto. I have done abit of homework. =D

Pearlyn was really funny yesterday. She took the new Mozart score and came back thinking that she was holding the whole section's score and wanted to distribute it to us and said '来!!!分财产!!'And guess what she was only holding 1 set of score =(

Anyway, after practice, i took a bus home. I was boarding the bus,holding my viola horizontally. Guess what, there was this little boy using my viola as support He totally pressed my viola down. That was so cute!!!! I thought that my viola got hooked to something. haha.

I went TJC yesterday. My main purpose was to hand in a copy of my results slip, which i find it totally dumb. I mean what for? My result is not very fanciful, but good enough to go TJC. It's a total waste of time to travel like 1 hour plus to TJC just to hand in a piece of paper. So to make my trip more meaningful, I bought my uniform
and went with Xin since he wanted to go TJC and take a look around.

Yes! Its GREEN!! Haha I wouldnt want a pink uniform though I love pink colour. Actually i shouldnt have bought my uniform so early. I can predict myself eating non-stop over the Chinese New Year. So what if i can longer fit into the uniform?! Haha =D

And i realised something about myself. I dont know how to wear a tie. Thats why the tie in the photo looks messy. Haha. The tie i wore in primary was a fake tie, you just got to stick both ends. In secondary school, there is no need for me to wear one. So end up i dont know how to wear one =P

I called up my darling senior Xuan Han.So nice of her to bring us around the school. Thank you.After studying in a small school like tkgs where there are only 2 blocks, i think i am so going to get lost in TJC. Moreover i have totally no sense of direction. Hmm, maybe i should just print a map and put it in my wallet?

If you are reading this to find out how i did, then you can forget about it. Haha I shall give you hint. Single digit! Thats all. The probability of getting the right ans is 1/4.Haha.=D

Anyway, I was like really really nervous yesterday. Didnt sleep well. I was trying to sleep in different position on my bed. Finally i managed to sleep. And guess what, my dad was shouting at my sister to wake her up for school. There goes my beauty sleep.

I would like to thank xin for accompanying me the whole of last night =D and isabel for letting me to pull her sleeve as i was super anxious before the release of result.Haha my hand was shaking when i was signing my name =(

Something really funny happened when i was having lunch in school. This group of nyjc student came forward to promote their open house. This guy went like ' Hello we are from NYJC. I know our uniform looks like hwachong. But dont worry, you dont need so smart to get in. Your marks can be lower and you get the same uniform. Isnt that cool?' -.-

I am really proud that the top scorer is from String Ensemble!!!!! Haha. And she is really sincere. Her speech doesnt sound fake unlike past top scorers. I still remember her last sentence-Strive to be Happy! That was so cute! haha!

I called my dad and this was what happened

Whimsy: Dad! i got 19
Dad: Minus bonus already
Whimsy: no! so after that will be 17
Dad: nevermind lar, next time work harder
Whimsy thinking since when you have a second chance for O
Whimsy: you really believe i got 19 ah
Dad: yea
Whimsy: No!!! i got x!
Dad:orh ok

That is so anticlimax!!!!!

My mum called and this was what happened

Mum: So how?
Whimsy: 16 same as prelims
Mum: what? so hardworking only get 16. Next time dont go library study with your friends. I bet you talk more than you study right. Luckily you got into dsa........(she went on and on, i couldnt remember)
Whimsy: So you really think i got 16 orh?
Mum: of course
Whimsy: I got x!
Mum: (stunned)

haha =D

So for those who have done well. Good for you!! Continue to work hard!

For those who are unsatisfied with your results, whimsy give you a big hug!! =D i mean this is only O. Yes, you dont have a second chance for O. But i guess more importantly is your A levels which decides which university you go and everything. So in a sense, its not the end of the whole and you do have a second chance=D. Dont be sad!!

Oh my, i will getting back my results 16 hours later.I guess i will cry. I remenbered Mr Peh said,'TKGians will definetely cry when they get back their O level results either because
1) They did very well
2) They did very badly
3) They see their friends cry, they also cry.'

I hope i am the first and the third one. I guess i will squeeze my dear eeyore tightly. I hope i will tear the edge of the paper nicely and not ruin it or something.

About half an hour ago, i just mass smsed to everybody a good luck message. Yups, been telling people to be positive, relax and smile. But i am not very positive myself. So, if you happen to see whimsy crying because she is sad(TOUCHWOOD), please dont poke her to make her smile or something. A hug is much appreciated though =D. I doubt i will be able to sleep tonight >.<

Anyway, all the best people. I know you guys worked hard. I hope top econs student is from our school ( sab!!!) and may 1011 come true!! =D

I woke up at 6am today, left my house at 6.35 and reached TJC at 8.05. This is totally crazy!!!! Dont ask ask me how i am going to survive for the next 2 years. I dont think I can. Actually the trip wasnt that long. I waited for bus 38 for half an hour! >.<

I dont think it's nice when you go like " On the 9th day of 2009, Whimsy went for her first chamber practice at TJC and was late" Anyway, I was expecting everybody to be like playing and starring at me when i enter the room. But guess what, there were no one ( except Pearlyn) and that saves all the embarrassment! =D

So we played Mozart Eine kleine Allegro. I cant believe I could that play after 2 years =D . I kinda pity the concert master. One guy playing the main melody against 7 of us playing accompaniment. Thank goodness. There was no double bassist.The other 2 pieces were pure sight reading which is Getting to Know You and Gaelic (which i read as Garlic the first time i saw it =P )

I really like the Gaelic piece. That fast melodic line is singing in my head now. Haha =D It's really a cool piece. You have to stomp your feet and thump on your instrument. And I learnt the Batok's way of pizzicato (plucking the string) which is put your finger underneath the string and pluck. As expected, i went like " ah!! " Haha But it was fun =D

The people there were really funny. There was this cellist who always put the cello on his lap and play random melodies and yes keep saying that he is hungry! Great someone actually loves food like whimsy =D And yea then this guy suggested we play at the frog of the bow. Another guy asked 'where is the frog?' And someone answered" its in the pond! ' .OK it's quite lame! Anyway, I was asked to play for their open house. =) But i got to stay at home and babysit my sister =(

Finally,I must thank Pearlyn for being such a nice senior. She changed her piano lesson time in order to come for today's practice so that Whimsy wouldnt be so lonely and lost. THANK YOU! =D.

Mum will be away for the next 3 weeks. So Whimsy got to do all the housework and everything. I am perfectly ine with laundry and cleaning the house. The only problem i have is COOKING!

As you know, i am a kitchen idiot. I cook everything using my multi purpose rice cooker. My dear multi purpose rice cooker do more than just cooking rice, it can boil water for me to cook cup noodels, heat up pizza, toast and stuff. I am currently experimenting if i can cook vegetables and packet maggie mee.

Anyway, so my dad was teaching me how to boil water using the stove (not rice cooker). Ok, i didnt wear my specs at that point of time. So as i was filling up the kettle with water, i was trying to find the line which tells you the maximum amount of water you can boil. As i mentioned earlier, i didnt wear my specs. I practically went under to tap to look for that line and got my hair wet! >.<>

Now is the scary part. I had to turn the knob which gives a loud 'TAK' sound that send whimsy shrieking. Haha. Anyway, i managed to boil water successfully. But at the end my dad said' I am scared of you. I think you better stick with your multi purpose rice cooker.'

See! even my own dad gave up on me. I am totally hopeless! So for the next week lunch here's the menu for me and my sister

Fri- Mei buy from school
Sat-Food Court
Sun- Dad will cook!

Problem solved. Haha it's pretty unhealthy. Moreover,this is only a short term solution. So for a long term solution, Whimsy shall do what Yiai suggested-marry a chef! =D

On the second day of 2009, Whimsy had a date with Yiai, Sheree, Sabrina and Verity. at Marina Barrage. Sakina and Jiamin joined us later.

Yups, it's really pretty over there. Plus, today's weather was really great, super windy and no sun. We spent the whole morning camwhoring. =D

It's really a place for National Education. Ok fine, 7 of us did more than just walk-around-and-take-photos. We learnt that

1) Marina Barrage is used for 3 main purpose - recreation, control flooding , collect water

2) It is important to keep the other rivers clean because they are connected and evntually water flow here. So it forms the Y shape thingy.

Ok whimsy is crapping. dont bother.

Anyway there was this really interesting conversation going on about eeyore during lunch.

Verity:Is eeyore a vegetarian?

Whimsy's thought: Better be a vegetarian. I am starving! I dont want to share my chicken pie(thats what i had for lunch) with you! >.<

Verity: Is eeyore a male of female?

We: MALE!

Verity: But it has a pink ribbon at the tail and a pair of pink ears=D

Whimsy's thought:It is a gay then. Ok no, i wouldnt want to bring a gay donkey around singapore.

We left Marina Barrage at noon and went Suntec. I played Archery there =)

So you have to wear this leather thingy which i found it very itchy >.

We went arcade after that. haha i didnt play anything there. But it was fun watching the others playing. Hmm then we had ice cream yogurt!! Ok it taste like ice cream. Ok shall not talk about food, it makes me hungry >.<

Before we head to the mrt staion, we went fountain of wealth! Whimsy hopes everyone of us get straight As.Haha it was fun.
